This creates a balanced, attractive appearance. For example, if your building is 8 metres high, a 12 metre flagpole is generally recommended.

A common guideline is that the height of the building should be approximately two-thirds of the total flagpole height. The remaining one-third should extend above the roof to ensure the flag is clearly visible while maintaining pleasing proportions.

If your building is approximately 6 metres high, an 8 metre flagpole is normally recommended. This allows around 2 metres of the pole to extend above the roofline.
